Trouw Nutrition Mexico Inaugurates “Aguila Project”

Trouw Nutrition México inaugurated its new premix and Young Animal Feed (YAF) plant, the “Aguila Project,” on February 21, 2025, in Colón, Querétaro. With an investment of 1000 million Mexican pesos, this modern and automated facility has a production capacity of up to 100,000 tons annually, enhancing the livestock sector’s competitiveness.

Joris de Boer, General Director of Trouw Nutrition Mexico, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and efficiency. The plant features advanced automation, digital traceability, solar panels, and energy efficiency systems, setting a new industry standard.

Wilfred Mohr, Ambassador of the Netherlands in Mexico, highlighted the project’s role in strengthening economic relations between Mexico and the Netherlands. Ricardo Kandelman, SHV Executive Board Member, encouraged continued innovation and recognized Mexico’s importance as the fifth-largest producer of animal feed.

The new plant reaffirms Trouw Nutrition’s leadership in the agri-food sector, promoting economic development and innovative feed production solutions.
