Bruce Power has successfully placed all eight steam generators into Unit 3, marking a major milestone in its Major Component Replacement (MCR) Project.
This is part of Bruce Power’s Life-Extension Program, which aims to provide clean and reliable electricity to Ontario for decades. The Unit 3 MCR outage, which began in 2023, is on track to return the unit to service in 2026.
The project has created jobs and had a positive economic impact on Ontario, with 97% of the $250 million cost being spent on local parts and labor.
