Arms of Utrecht

SHV is historically based in Utrecht and has strong ties with the city. This is reflected in the company logo which is derived from the arms of Utrecht. The red and white SHV logo is a mirror reflection of the arms of the city. The arms of Utrecht, dating from the sixteenth century, are based on the legend/story of Saint Martin, who gave half of his cloak to save a beggar from the cold.
